Ive been using my composter regularly but have found on several occasions that it has jammed and there have been 5 bleeps and dry/grind lights flashing. How do I avoid this problem. Thanks
All good thanks Himkaar. I’ve made a couple of changes so there is no jamming of the blade. Mainly cutting up bulky veggies and peels. I’m very happy. I now have a fair amount of compost to spread on the garden. Thank you for enquiring
Hi there, the 5 deeps and dry/grind light flashing does indeed indicate a jammed blade. To avoid the blade getting stuck, try chopping up any large pieces of waste that can jam itself under the blade, such as lemon segments. Stringy vegetables like spinach should also be cut up so that it can’t wrap around the blade. Then, ensure you are putting a cup of water at the start of the cycle to lubricate the waste so it can slide passed each other. Also, remember not to overfill it…The more waste it has the more chance there is of getting stuck
